Airway in the interdisciplinary patients

Course Description -

Great dentistry goes beyond teeth—it starts with the airway. While interdisciplinary care often focuses on occlusion, esthetics, and function, airway health is frequently overlooked until significant damage has already occurred.

This course challenges clinicians to expand their diagnostic lens and recognize airway issues earlier—before they show up as malocclusion, wear, or compromised outcomes. Attendees will learn how airway dysfunction presents in both children and adults, and how dentists can play a critical role in early identification and interdisciplinary treatment.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify key signs of airway dysfunction in children

  • Review treatment options for pediatric and adult airway patients

  • Understand dentistry’s role in airway-focused interdisciplinary care
